Sexiest looking camera?

What's your favorite looking camera? My favorite look has to be the older Leica IIIA cameras. I love the vintage look of the cameras vs. the newer rangefinders.

I prefer the way rangefinders look in general vs. slrs. Maybe that's why I frequent this forum. They just look a lot sleeker and more old school than the more modern look of SLRs.

I also really like the look of the Exa/ Exactee Ihagee Dresden type cameras. I terms of functionality I don't know if I'd be able to use such a camera but I love the art deco style

I like the look of the Werra also. Minimalistic, unique, daring design.

On the converse - what's the ugliest looking camera? I can't think of any off the top of my head but I'm curious to hear what you think.

I like the Nikon F2 with the early style DP-1 Photomic metering viewfinder. Proportions are perfect, and every square inch of the camera is finely and intentionally finished. I much prefer the looks of the DP-1 to the non-metered viewfinder, which in comparison has too much of an "Ally McBeal" look, as if its been secretly starving itself to lose weight.

Absolutely agree with the choice of the Werra - I have exactly that model, in green, and it's so stripped down. I love it.

Never actually held or used one, but I agree with you Larry. The SP 2005 is just gorgeous. I'm content with ogling from afar though. I'll probably never buy one because I'd be too afraid to mess it up, and it'll never get used which defeats the point.

My other votes would be Leica M2 Black Paint, and Nikon F2 Titan.

Olympus Pen F, the original of 1963 with the gothic f in gold color. So clean, so compact, just elegant.
I have one of those plus a later Pen FV that has been painted matte black and the self timer is removed (and bagged, if any later owned wants to put it back.) Always hated that self timer, it ruined the clean face of the camera.

The Nikon SP will always be a handsome camera to me, ever since I spotted it on the Highway 61 Revisited Bob Dylan LP album cover back near Christmas in 1965.

That camera still fascinates to this very day.
