Enjoy Life.
I just can't bring myself to break out the black S3 2000. Fondler that I am (with that camera) I just would be a bit pissed if I did the token swinging light pole hit with it. The supermodel will have to stay home (I think) 🙂
Kent - I see the euros are doing the one lens challenge Oct 17th in Malta. Maybe we should pick a Bay Area exotic local on the same date. What do you think?
As always, great to see everyone yesterday. I sure liked the show. Looking through his contact sheets was cool stuff.
And thanks Randy for not making off with my Standard and 28mm.
Was only because I never got a good chance to do it! 😉

I understand: for that reason the black SP 2005 will stay at home for now. I will put a lower case on the S3 2000 and roll with it.
Not sure which lenses to bring, probably a classic 50mm f1.4 or maybe the Millenium version. But I want to travel light so it will be a "one camera/one lens day."
I was pretty sure the plan was to see the show, shoot, and then b&g. 😕 I think the idea was to shoot later rather than earlier, but I'm out of the loop (I have to miss the 13th and will go on the 14th instead).
Have fun, guys!

And don't worry Kevin, I won't cause you to take 3 hours viewing the Frank exhibit this time!
hahaha, Randy. I really enjoyed our pace: we had excellent dialog about almost every image, and as a result got to digest each photo thoroughly (aren't we supposed to chew 25-50 times per bite?) -- never once felt that we were moving too slow. (I caught people listening in on our conversation several times even.)
Glad to hear it, Kevin. I felt exactly the same way. Our dialog really added to my enjoyment of the exhibit and understanding of Frank's work. As stated in another thread, it was a similar experience to viewing the Friedlander exhibit with RayPA. Having studied these photographers and their work, you guys know so much more than do I so I learn from our discussions about them. In both instances, it felt like I was having a private tour with a docent, but better in that I got to participate in the dialog rather than just listen passively. And in case anyone else is wondering, despite my use of the word "docent" neither Kevin nor Ray acted like know-it-all experts - they merely shared their thoughts and knowledge with me, a fellow photography enthusiast hungry for more. I almost didn't make it last week and afterwards was glad that I had.
