Nice shots as usual.
I shot this last night. Was pushing the R-D1 in very lowlight conditions. Leica 50mm Summilux, pre-asph. This one kinda came out to me, "jesus"-like (no religious offense at all by that observation). I also missed the focus a bit hitting the no smoking sign instead of his eyes

I got the patent on cr@ppy photo's around here!
I agree with Joe, nothing wrong with those shots.
Like the first one especially.
Cagliostro! Fantastic colors, but the composition of the B/W photos appeal a little more to me personally.

I'm guessing the two of you have yet to see anything I've ever posted. If crappy photography were an Olympic event I'd medal everytime.
I'm in agreement with Joe and Mr_Flibble, nothing at all wrong with your images paradoxbox, truth be told I quite enjoy the second one.

i'm sure you can get the same look using Zeiss lens wide open with the 5D. The images here are amazing because ppl who own rd1 love it so much and would go out look for opportunities to maximize its potential. Or i'm just talking from my own experience. I'm not sure if i see things differently with a rangefinder camera but i do learn a lot in a short amount of time. perhaps share one of mine:

Four years ago, I was about to pull the trigger on a 5D, when I discovered the existence of the R-D1. My immediate, gut reaction was "oh, yes -- must have that."

Do it, that's exactly what I traded for one. My 5Dc had sat unused on the shelf for a couple months so off it went.
Kinda helps my gf has a 5Dc I can use whenever I want though!

Beautiful! This is such a nice 'slice of life' image. And technically stunning. You have a good eye for seeing "life". Thanks for posting this.

That's true.
I had lent my X100 to my gf and found myself trying to take product shots for ebay with my R-D1s, scale focus 25mm VC Skopar and I-61 L/D a few nights ago!
