Thank you guys for your friendly comments. I really love this Nokton 1.4/40. Different bokeeh as my other favourite Summicron C 2/40, but with one stop more and absolutely easy to focus - in my opinion best buy for the Epson R-D1.
Mr_Loonglaai: This photo warms my heart. With the boys face slightly in the unfocussed area, the on-point-focussed LEGO truck and the grain of the high ISO setting, you open up the door for every spectator to identify himself with the boy and make a timewarp. Very good!
Cheers,
Andreas

I too like this photograph very much. Great moment captured. These kind of images remind me of my own childhood, when I got my very first own Lego set.

Here some recent efforts taken with my CV Nokton 40/1.4 MC at ISO 1600. Simply taken on my way home from work. Often pictures are right on your doorstep...

mr_Loonglaai, I love your shot so much!
Makes me wonder if i'd rather get a RD-1 instead of a M8! those B&W are terrific!

I don't know who this lady is, but though such beauty needed to be recorded
she is about to enter the church and everyone was inside including the photographer and i was the only one outside to see her in the excellent light

@ Phototektour: well done, "tracking MF" is not easy, really...
@ Squonk: brilliant pic 1, the CV really shines on the R-D1, I like very much the opposition of these 2 parts on the photo. Did you set a manual exposure or full auto?

Alex, this is some interesting background.
mr_loonglaai, I like your grainy, contrasty B+W shots.
phototektour, nice work on the tracking with this low shutter speed.
I posted a 1:1 crop of one of my R-D1 flash photos in another thread.
I like it so much, that I use it in my new section on my website and share it here too:
"Voigtländer 15"
This is shot with the R-D1, 50 Lux, pocket wizards and a Nikon SB-900 through umbrella.
I was once again surprised, how much detail this old 6MP camera resolves. Some details and the full frame can be seen on my website.
I keep using the R-D1 for now - what a great little camera

Welcome you are Alex. There seems to be an R-D1 rejuvenation lately. The event of the M9 is a good thing evidently, M8 users are passing on their redundant R-D1's to new and eager hands.

I agree Dirk, a wonderful camera. Haven't picked up my D2X in a couple of months now. It will have its day with the skiing season setting in.

Erik, you certainly squeeze some wonderful colors out of your R-D1.
A few late samples from my R-D1 web gallery are here:
"boy and mother"
"driver"
"ghost rider"
If you like, have a look at my website. I show in my blog "the waiting dog series" and update it now also more regularly.
