The best camera is one that still works!
I'm just discovering how well my 15mm Heliar works on the RD1. Never liked it much on the digital M because of the corner fringing problems. On the Epson it becomes a 21mm with no issues and I happened to have an accessory finder of that focal length.

The super-wide-heliar II also shows some fringing on the R-D1. The III version does not show any fringing at all.

It's awful on my 240 ... I tried corner fix but still wasn't excited about it. I can live with a small amount on the Epson.

These shots look so film-like it's crazy. After all these years, and all the engineering, research, etc that camera makers put into their brands to make the best digital cameras, none of them make images as nice as the Epson and Leica M8 cameras. That's something to think about.

I agree ... this thread makes a bit of a mockery of current digicam technology.

Guessed. I forgot to bring the 135mm viewfinder to shoot.
