Sharing a shot from the little 40 cron

The quality of this lens wide open just amazes me sometimes. I really wasn't expecting much shooting this with iso160 film indoors giving me 1/4s at f2 but taking into account the speed, i'd say its really sharp. Did a 8x10 and it still showed up fine!
 
I like the look of this image but it also looks a little strange to me. Her face and the plate under her hands is in focus, but her hands (and whatever it is she is holding...looks like a camera of some sort) are out of focus even they they are over the plate that is in focus.

Back in the mid 1970s a girl I knew slightly asked for advice on which camera to buy. Given her budget and the fact that she wanted something small, I recommended a Leica CL with 40 and 90 lenses. Must say she got the hang of it all very soon and did rather well with it.
