I have the full complement of Nokton's - and have used them extensively. I suspect that it is a toss-up between the 50f1.5 and the 40f1.4 for "absolute" sharpness wide-open. The 35f1.2 is amazing mainly because you can get hand-held shots with it, when nothing else would have worked. The 35f1.4, just as the pre-Asph Lux. has a certain softness to it wide-open - but it still works fine.
Being a black/white shooter exclusively - it is less of a problem as you can "fake" the appearance of sharpness by modifying sharpness in film choices and/or processing.
