I will sometimes find an old photo in which I have messed something up. Focus, exposure etc. The photo will often be rejected at first, but then looking back at it, sometimes years later I will suddenly realise - this image has something, and ask myself what can I do with it? Here is a more recent one which I felt lends itself to a more painterly rendering exactly because I "muffed" the shot and it was soft.

( my default set-up is a Leica M to Sony E helicoid adapter ( if not using my Ricoh GXR M ) and any lens stacked with it's corresponding Leica M adapter.
The helicoid adapter has become very loose, sometimes I hit it and focus will be too close. On the other hand, with the lens kept at infinity it allows for very fast / short throw focusing )
