I think some people here shoot large format - what do you usually do when shooting color and you have to bring/send it to someone else to process? Put it in a black plastic envelope and inside another one? Does any light leak through to ruin it that way? I was thinking I'd keep a bunch of black and then white plastic film bags in the changing bag and put them in there and write "FILM INSIDE, TWO BAGS" on all of them, then put that in a bigger black bag and inside a box to send.

Also, how about when out shooting and you have a box of film, but only like 2 film holders? Would you need a changing bag to put the film in the holders, then use the bag again to transfer them into their own envelope?

I know someone who might have a 4x5 to sell me, and even if he doesn't I think I'll look for one on ebay or something, it seems like it would be fun. A couple weeks after I got my DSLR last year I found out about large format cameras and thought "damn, I should have gotten one of those"... maybe I can finally do that.

Don't mess around with envelopes- just load the film back into empty film boxes, tape them shut, label them, and send them off.

Thanks. So I'm hoping they'll open it in a darkroom without the lights on, and not check inside the box to count them in the light first...
