Shoot Food

This shot dates back to the mid to late 70’s shot on 8x10 Ektachrome tungsten film. It was for a commercial bakery client I shot for.

The second was digital for the Texas Roadhouse restaurants.

The last was a 4x5 Provia shot for a butcher shop done in the mid 90’s.

A friend ordered it for me as a prank but I enjoyed it. I have eaten calf brain before and knew it was pure texture like tofu but no taste.

My mom was from Italy and used to make fried lambs brain floured and sautéed in olive oil. It was delicious! She was such a good cook she could cook a shoe 😀

I don’t know if I would have it today with all the issues with prions.
 
Nice! I thought spring rolls were something that only existed in the „west“ - not Asia. 😀
Errr...no. It's a popular snack in Vietnam. Commonly referred to in the South of the country as chả giò, and in the North, as nem. The original recipe is with pork filling, only but I prefer the modern-day variety which has a mixed filling of pork and chicken. Cheers, OtL
