I'm in the processing of upgrading my processing system to prepare for a 64bit CS5.

I'm down to a short list of two monitors.

The LaCie 724 and the Eizo CG243W.

I would like to hear from those who have used these monitors as to their pros and cons.

Unfortunately, I live in a remote area of Texas and can't get to see them in use.

I'm looking to using this system with a Christmas M9.

This thread is a bit old and I'm not sure if you're still trying to decide between the two monitors. That being said, I just ordered the LaCie 724 monitor and should have it next week.

OTOH, if you've made your decision, how did it all work out with whatever monitor you decided to purchase?

LaCie's are a waste of money. They're made by NEC and are identical to models made by NEC (in other words, they're pure rebrands, nothing customized for LaCie) and LaCie charges a lot more for the one with their name. I have an NEC 2190UXi, which was the best they made when I got it a few yrs ago. It is magnificent and self calibrating and accurate. and $300 less expensive than the LaCie version of it at the time.
