short photo road trip / infrared, ms delta

Ok, it's 1am on the 1st of august... I get off work at 2, leaving for the MS delta at 4am (someone else driving) - going to cook some shrimp and grits while packing

Am carrying my r5 with 50 cron and 1 roll of kodak EIR infrared film.
My iid has a roll of rollei ir fiilm 28mm with ir filter
my m8 - 50/1.2 and elmarit 90 (may shoot a wee bit of ir with it)

We are going down highway 61 and then cutting over to 1 - i've done the trip to clarksdale a bunch of times, decided to shake things up) - my route is: here

I'm also carrying the fuji for the normal stuff

The reason for the trip is the general itch... and i've been thinking about how to best shoot the few rolls of infrared i have, and cityscape/memphis stuff just didn't fit the bill

We should be just south of tunica by sunrise.... we've got a really strong blues playlist for the trip --- it's gonna be hot -- thank goodness the truck has ac... because 3 fat guys in a truck can get ugly

Each time I read of someone taking a road trip, long or short, I'm always a little bit envious...enjoy it...relax and take photos 🙂
