Definitely a de Tomaso Pantera. The larger air-grille ahead of the rear wheels appeared about 1985 at least through 1989. Mid-engine Ford V8. The Pantera had a long production run from 1971 - 1993 according to Google. A tenant of mine had one, used for daily commuting 25mi to work...![]()
A great looking car the Pantera and fun. It gained something of a reputation for shaking itself and its occupants to bits.
I remember a ride in a battered one in London in the '70s, certainly caused a stir in Chelsea but every bump in the road would make the whole thing creak, nothing seemed to fit that well but when you are in a car like this who cares?!

My favorite Kei car . The Sigma 65mm f/2 is looking good as well.
Thanks! The Suzuki Jimny is a great car, I’ve owned 3 of them. The first one I had was a bit of a dog when it came to power; it would struggle a bit to get up steep hills. The second one had plenty of get-up-and-go but felt a little unstable at high speeds. My last one, which was my last car before I quit driving was perfect. It had plenty of pep and was very stable at high speeds.
One of the funny things about the Jimny is that from the outside they look tiny but from the inside they feel quite roomy. And, they are a lot of fun to drive. If I was still driving today my vehicle would be a Jimny.
All the best,
Mike

1958 Buick Roadmaster, right? This has been bugging me ever since it was posted. I kept thinking Pontiac, but that didn’t seem quite right.
Larry I was pondering it too, but only got as far as 1958-ish GM maybe Buick or Pontiac. You're probably right.

I’ve always wanted a ‘58 Buick Roadmaster, while others were fixated on ‘55 or ‘57 Chevys.
Now, they’re too expensive, for a nice one.
Here's a restored Buick Special, I think about 1958, parked in Havana behind a '53 Chev.
And here's a Buick in the process of restoration at a specialty shop in Havana. The Cubans like to doll them up with intense paint colors. Some sedans are decapitated into open-air configuration for better popularity with tourist customers. Almost all of these old American cars are licensed as taxis. Some, given the lack of parts, have had the motor replaced by a Russian diesel engine.
You might think with the long embargo and plentiful well-kept "classic" cars they could fetch a good price if imported back to the states. But I understand that they bring in a lot of foreign cash as-is and the Cuban government has declared them national treasures!
Restored 1960 Chevrolet being washed in the restoration shop, Havana. Unusual to encounter such "recent" model!

Doug, the Buick in the first photo is a 1957.
(When I was a little guy, my family had a 1957 Buick Caballero station wagon. I would know those tail lights anywhere!

Thanks Murray! Is the gas filler behind the left tail light?

I don't remember that, Doug. I probably didn't pay much attention as I never filled it with gas.

Another Datsun, this one is the 280Z model for the US market. In even less primo condition than Mike's example.

Another 280Z? - I'm guessing Datsun Fairlady Z Turbo (280ZX) in very good condition.

Chevrolet Corvette, 1957 I believe. The styling behind the front wheel changed in 1958, and in the photo there's an inscription there that says Fuel Injection... that feature was introduced in 1957. Isn't that a nifty car?!

Thanks, Mike.
Another nice one. Better than nice. I used to have an FJ40 from that year, but it never looked like that.

I like the looks of this late-1980's Nissan Skyline GTS-X coupe! Its taller greenhouse aids visibility but it is now out of fashion.
