I'd say they have very different appeal. Though the Citroën Traction Avant, DS, SM & CX are some of the most beautiful cars ever made, methinks.

Yep, that just about sums it up, other than the occasional Mustang or perhaps something before the late 30s I can't think of any American car that appealed to my eyes - the strange thing is that I had this predudice even as a 10 year old boy, had long arguments with a schoolfriend who liked all things American!

Here are a couple of Chrysler products. Two 1958 Plymouth Belvederes. In 1958 Chrysler owned 15% of Simca and you could find French and American cars on the same showroom floor at the same time.

We had two of them in Sweden in the late 60's. It was a precautionary action - as these cars have Lucas electrics in them and this way there was a fair chance that at least one of them would start. Cost me all of $120 for both!
