For those in the U.S. there is probably no better opportunity to photograph old, and new, exotic cars than the Monterey Historics weekend, which is coming up in about ten days. Total sensory overload, more events than one person can possibly attend, and an unforgettable experience. FWIW.

Triumph TR4, Pentax 67 Super Takumar 55mm on Kodak Portra 400

Nice shot of the TR4, Charles! Rare to see one in my areas of travel. I recall when they first introduced the TR4 that I did not like the style at all, just did not look right after the "classic" TR2/TR3. It has aged well, I think, and I came to appreciate the Michelotti styling.

Thanks Doug, in retrospect there are no Michelotti cars I dislike, and some like the BMW 2002 that are just perfect.
I almost bought a TR4, instead ending up with a Citroen SM. If only I could have found a TR5, with that delicious straight six, but most went for export.

Hi,
And that reminded me of their small straight six of (?) 1600 cc but whatever became of it?

That was the six used in the Triumph Vitesse - the version of the Herald with the twin headlamps. I think that was its only deployment.

PS. I also really like the one of the Porsche 356 hood.

Beautifully done, Larry. Makes you want to step into the frame, and take that Porsche for a ride!
