Gears are like zoom lenses. Peddle with your feet I say. As if there was any other way.
Actually, I know there are such things as hand cycles, for the leg impaired.

Wow, I do like that! Where is is sold. I have been thinking of a small tent on top of our Highlander, with a cutout for the sun roof into the tent.

But that looks like a lot more fun, and reminds me of the old 1972 VW camper I had. I had that thing for 17 years. It got to be a hobby keeping it running.

My wife finally took me off the hook by wrecking it.

As to my ride, I don't have a photo handy. But just look on most streets (at least int the USA) for a short time and you can see a silver Toyota Corolla Sport. That's my car.

That's a James Baroud tent, relatively easy to find both in Europe and in the US. Pretty much the same as Autohome tents (Maggiolina etc.). They're rather pricey but really excellent, and can stay on the roof even through Norwegian winters..

While you are at it look for a dark gray Toyota Corolla 4 door. That looks just like mine except mine has a trailer hitch.

And there'll probably be a tan Toyota Highlander along soon thereafter. That's mine.

Setups like this are popular in crocodile country in Australia.

I knew I had to come to Australia some day ! But my wife Simo after she saw the picture already said that snakes, very poisonous spiders, dangerous mosquitos, maybe even small crocodiles :D could climb up and kill us during the night!
