Just beautiful! My brother had one of those many years ago: wonderful cars to drive, and beautiful to look at! 🙂

I was always a Spider guy, however. You inspired me to pull up and render one of the photos of my last Alfa Romeo Spider from 2008...

It was both beautiful and a kick to drive, probably my last ever Alfa Romeo. I had a ball building it exceeded only by the joy in driving it. 🙂

enjoy,
G

An excellent ride. Isn't Alfa trying a come back?

An excellent ride. Isn't Alfa trying a come back?

Alfa Romeo has been owned by FIAT for many years, and was withdrawn from the US market after 1991 for financial reasons. They've continued to build some beautiful cars all along: the 156 sport sedan comes to mind. They just weren't brought to the USA.

FIAT is now a big (controlling?) shareholder in Chrysler Motor Corporation and has been bringing various FIAT models in, sometimes restyled and in the guise of a Chrysler model (like the Dart of some years back). They started bringing the Alfa Romeo 4C sports car in a few years back: A gorgeous little coupe or open top mode. And I believe they are now bringing in various models of the modern Alfa Romeo Guilia sport line as well.

A friend in the UK has one of the smaller Guilietta Sport Sedans. It is an absolute hoot to drive, and a very pretty little car as well.
