Hello guys.You got some real beauties!Great cameras!
That's my first posting here,at RFF and I would like to show you my Canon RF.It's cheap and not so famous,but for the nearly year of using it I can say -It's great camera, too!Canon A35F-solid(but not big) body,sharp lens...what else I need?There is only automatic mode except exposure compensation (played with the ISO setting) but it does the job!🙂I really love it.Here it is:

Here is my IVsb with a Converter B and a 28mm/f2.8 FD lens. It must be scale focused but with a 28mm this is no problem, and it is perfect for street. The finder is a 25mm VC which is just about right when you bang your glasses up against it. 🙄

I wish I could do that with one of my Sonnar 50/1.5's, without either taking a $200+ gamble or mortgaging both house and family. And, with my luck, I'd lose the gamble....

I have made very few pictures with it (Too many fast lenses around). From what I've seen it lacks some contrast wide open but it's truly sharp and shows no color fringing. Evidently there is some front-focussing at close distance. Most, if not all of these superfast RF lenses are hard (and slooow) to focus, so their usabilty is borderline. No alternative in using a 50mm of that vintage because you don't come closer.

Compared to its low price the 1.5/85 isn't a bad lens. It still not bad when compared to the 1.8/85 (I have both). You miss some serious Canon RF collector feeling if you don't have one of them, period.

I haven't found a Leica collector who really shot with a Summarex either, or discussed its performance. These hype lenses are a class of it's own. Maybe the 1.5/75 Biotar is the only comfortable "user" lens in this class... but then the Exakta Varex isn't...
