I bought the F2 in the summer of 1973. I also purchased a lens a month for a while. This of course was when I was single. As much as I still enjoy my F2 today, I wouldn't trade a day of my past 37 years with my soul mate for it.

Thank you, Paul. It has been a faithful and reliable camera. There have been a few bumps along the way. I had the camera and finder overhauled by our head bartender a few years back and now they are as good as new.

Hah! Chris Livsey's black F2 looks darn similar to my F ...

... only I have the pre-AI Nikkor-H 85/1.8 fitted to it in this quick snap I made early today. I have one of the Nikkor 50mm f/1.2 lenses as well. Not bad looking for a $30 body, eh? :)

I just wish I had a plain prism for it, instead of the clunky inop TN finder.

I bet "in the day" they said just the opposite. My body was £65 only a couple of years back, no prism, that cost more than the body, but not by much as it has a touch of de-silvering (but new foam), but I'm a shooter. Sover Wong was the man for the prism, great NikonF2 guy.

Hello, wonderful collections.
I take advantage of this thread to ask if any of you knows a good repairman for my lens, W Nikkor C 1:1.8 f=3.5cm ltm.
The general aspect and mechanics are very fine, almost like new, but the images i get on my Leica are off, hazy even if the glass is cristal clear, no definition.
I am in Europe, France, but can send the lens anywhere if someone is qualified enough to bring this jewel back to what it is supposed to be.
Many thank's
Joël

....The missing Nikonos III is in the camera cabinet, while the missing AF35 2.8 (first camera I bought for my son) is plain missing.
