Zorki and FED 5
Hello to all of you!
I´m new to this forum, but have a long-time-love to FSU cameras. I owned a Zenit SLR , a Zorki 4-K and a FED 5C some ten years ago, all are gone now. Here I show my actual gear, a Zorki (1955) with Industar-22 and a FED 5 with Industar-61.

Well, at least you now have the "correct" lenses for each! Swap them over...misok said:hmm.. only thing i remember is that i was completely satisfied with my Z4 and I26m..

The best camera is one that still works!
These have to be one of the best looking FSU's around ... the first one I got was a lemon but this one is a gem.

Ebay is addictive. This place does not help, nor does a hobby of collecting photographica. Only a wage limits me.
... time to get that film developed.
Edit: One issue with frame spacing (one frame overlaps the previous by 3mm, and has a 5mm gap to the next frame), that's it. The exposure meter's pretty much ok, the focussing's spot-on, no issues of film scratching, the shutterspeeds seem ok. Even the lowlight 1/5th handheld shot looks ok.

hi,
looks like i'm not going to stop polluting this thread..
this is a camera i got from my girlfriend few days ago (some posts back)
and this is what i did.. (she doesn't know yet..)
i expect a bit more wear to get that right charisma. it looks smaller and
even feels smaller in my hands now..funny. yes, some black j-12 would suit it better.. but till then ..
FED "MP"
all the best,
m.

Nice lens too; the Jupiter 8 on my 4K doesn't have that 'lever'

I think there are differencies between the different years: my camera and lens are from 1957. I also have a zorki 4k from the 70's but with industar lens. These are also very good and sharp lens and the 4k body is more easy to use.

This is exactly why I want a FED2, and what I'll do to one.
What type of paint did you use? How did you prep the surface? You mention Hydrocloride (Hydrochloric?) acid in another post, did you dilute it down, and how long did you leave it on the surfaces?

Erik, I think you have compressed that .jpg a bit too much.
