'T'was worth it, I think ...
Don't know if there's a reason for it but my NKVD is the same, no paint in the markings. It may be just that it's so old and the original paint was poor, so there's none left now?About paint: I notice that some of the really old FEDs seem not to have paint in the engravings on the shutter speed dial or on the lens. I have a FED-S with a couple contemporaty lenses, and there is no paint anywhere. It makes it pretty hard to see the focus and aperture rings. Was there some reason why the engravings were not filled?
Cheers,
Dez
Nice camera, the Zorki 6 is very underrated IMO. Well done on re-lubing the lens, in my experience I-26 and I-61 lenses always need it! You find it's a sharp and contrasty lens, enjoy. A Jupiter 8 always looks good on the Zorki 6 too...and works well.here is my zorki6 with industar 61 "zebra" posted with a bit delay, because i was waiting for the lens hood from hong kong.
i lubricated the lens with new grease and re adjusted it to infinity. the rf needed vertical alignment and horizontal alignment, too.
this is my first rf and i did the "repairs" by myself although i had some scruple.
isn't it a beauty 😛
