Show Off Your FSU

Hi!

I've got only one FSU rangefinder (I rather have been gathering Russian SLR lenses...)

Here is my FED-3b...

Theoretically the Sonnar clone should be better then a Tessar clone. You need a tripod slow film and a lens test chart to be sure of detection. At 5.6 the difference will Be difficult to see. Use a hood, that is the only easy thing to do. Brace off a pillar.

Now dee what makes you think you will annoy us, we need to see your cams, and the photos you take... note the need verb...

Very pretty, Gene! And I can vouch for how pretty that camera is after having seen it in person. So, have you developed any pics from it yet?

-Randy

Thanks Randy. Just finished the first roll today and hope to do some developing either tonight or tomorrow.

Gene

I have a nice Fed 2c (Is this the c?) that has a shutter curtain tension problem,

Hi, I'm a new user here due to my finding of a FED-4 in the back of a cupboard. I know it's not the prettiest, but it's all I have at the moment and I love it. The images are great and it's fantastic fun to use.

I'll have a go at entering the FSU 2007 contest as well with some of the results.

It was a big cupboard in the house that was having a load of stuff chucked out. Apparently my grandpa is a big fan of old Russian cameras and rangefinders in general and gave this one to my dad, where it has since lain dormant doing nothing. Which is handy, as it means the light meter still works *perfectly*. I'm going down to see my grandad sometime soon to benefit from his years of experience so I'll see what he reckons to it.

Sound more resonable, the Panda and the hood means you can get real good results, good luck, please try a kodachrome 64 or Fujichrome 100 - prepare to be amazed.

My FED-2 w/ Industar 61 52/2.8

I just ran a film through this and noted that the shutter is capping and blanking out the right hand side of the frame :bang:

This is the second one that does that so I guess i'm gonna have to bite the bullet and send them off to Oleg in the FSU.
