That's a birth-year camera for me, hard to believe Leica was still making the I's that late date.

IF BD has been my favorite Barnack. Just received the Super-Angulon 21/4, which will be shared between IF and the M bodies. I have a feeling that it's more like SA and CV 28/3.5 fighting for their spot on IF, ignoring the Ms though.
(still waiting for 21/25mm VF coming tomorrow. 28mm one shown in picture just for the looks. 😉)

My If with Color-Skopar 28/3.5. If is my designated motorcycle ride companion. You don't have to worry about RF getting messed up by bumps and vibrations.

I'd love to try a flash for a party or something. I'm sure it's extra useful for If as it doesn't have slow speeds below 1/30. One of those days...

Picked up a super clean, CLA'd (with new beam splitter) IIIf RD ST from an RFF member (thanks Doru). I already have an If, but For $200, I just could not resist it. If is off to Don for a new project so this IIIf will give me the Barnack Fix I need often. Also re-entering the Summar that I also got for a bargain price. Probably the cleanest optics I've ever seen for this lens. Let's see how this goes.

The camera works perfectly and i can't imagine the number of photos she has to take (given the condition of the painting!)

I'm quite sure this is uncoated tho it does have a slight blue/green tint (kinda enhanced in that photo). CLA'ed and pretty smooth everything. 🙂

My IIIa with an uncoated Elmar, it gives me truly beautiful pictures. Love it! Film used for this photo is the Maco TCS Eagle 640 @ISO400 BTW 🙂

I used to think I wanted a I, until I used a Bessa L and realised I really, really like to know how far away my subject is. It's a pain when using a low light/wide aperture combo, even on really wide lenses.

I don't use my If for everything, but it's an awesome companion when I ride motorcycle. No RF to get misaligned by vibration and bumps, and for sunny day out with 21 or 28mm, I basically have the whole world within DOF. 😉
