I have borrowed a "0" from a friend and all I can say is that the "0" is LF experience in 35mm combined with one of the best 50mm lenses available (coated Anastigmat). 🙂

large format experience. Basically, the non-capping shutter and cumbersome method of adjusting the slot-with of the shutter plus the lack of any distance metering slows extremely down when using this camera, like using a large-format camera in pocket-size.

The "O" is in addition to my vintage ltm's. I bought it because of the unique shooting experience, only run a couple of rolls through it. It's quirky but ultimately will make me a better shooter. The lens is coated and very sharp.

Curious, who made the what's the rangefinder?
Nice rig - I like my Ic - about same size as yours - very pocketable

It's a Pasarin rangefinder. I don't use it much however, its not that difficult to estimate. Thank you for your kind comments.

Correct.
No infinity lock, no serial number, nickel and uncoated. Guess these were something special, I have not yet seen the combination of those characteristics yet. Have looked everywhere online but did not see another one.
I love this lens, for it's low-contrast rendering.

It could be a hybrid with the focus ring from a later Elmar and a lens tube from the earlier 1A Elmar. If the LTM mount ring has its outer 1mm filed off to loose the infinity lock it should show bare bronze I guess, and your looks to be nickel plated. Interesting lens indeed!!! Where did you find it?

it came with the camera and rangefinder so I don't know where you would get one. The only marking is "germany" . I assumed the rangefinder company made it. Have you tried searching under Pasarin Rangefinder? good luck, wish I was able to help.

Mr Flibble--Kodak made a couple of rangefinders, Service and Pocket models, that mounted vertically, not horizontally. That is the foot was on the end of the body. Now, if you are interested, you're going to have to do some work. The standard camera shoe is about 18.5mm wide. Kodak back in the 1950's used a 16mm wide shoe. Therefore, their rangefinders probably will fall out of your Leica I shoe (isn't there always a problem). Maybe you could make the original foot more narrow so it doesn't fit the shoe at all and then attach a new plate the size of a standard foot to the bottom of the original foot. By the way, the Kodak Pocket model actually has a clip for carrying in a shirt pocket. Perhaps this would be handy enough. Anyway, hope you find a solution.

the Elmar has no markings from filing done. It's perfectly smooth and nickel plated around the infinity position, obviously left the factory like this.
I bought it from a stateside RFF member some months ago. It is scaled in feet, so was produced for a UK or USA customer. It is on a body marked 'Auf' and 'Zu' now, but I guess it is not for us mere mortals to achieve perfection, so I do not care too much about that😉
