Leica LTM Show off your Leica I/II/III/LTM Camera

Leica M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
After acquiring my first Leica, a Standard, it was 4 months before I fell again.
It took about a month for this IIIc to find me.

Recent acquisition, figured that since I now had these two great little Voigtlander LTM lenses I should get a body to go with them.

Very interesting experience using a screwmount body for the first time. I think we'll become fast friends!

I'm so happy you reminded me these lenses existed. I'm definitely going to be on the hunt for one of those 28/3.5 lenses for mine now.

Leica IIIc with a Nikkor-0 21mm f4.0. The Vancouver Art Gallery is having a Walker Evans Show right now. About 200 prints and some of his cameras. This one caught my interest. The adapter for the F-mount 21mm f4.0 looks a bit "home made" and the camera is suspiciously clean for having been a working shooters camera - but interesting none the less. I could not see the serial number on as the Leica 21 finder obscured it.

Leica IIIc 'stepper' 1941/42, in gloss black paint with faux wismut infill.

This is a shell that was acquired along with a big box of other misc Leica parts. The lugs have been powder coated. Top and bottom plates were stripped to the brass.

Just need the insides!

I have a IIIc-to-f conversion in pieces that I'm thinking of having this done to. Either black or luftwaffe grey. But having it done professionally seems to be quite pricey....more than the price of the camera.

Although stripped back to brass the high gloss finish is still quite delicate. I sometimes think of stripping it again and having it powder coated semi or matt black...and then I think 'why'? Guess it gets less important as I get older. Perhaps I should pass it on to someone younger!
