Shooting with an LTM is so nice.
Indeed, using an LTM is so nice that I have just taken all my M gear up to London to be sold.
If I am going to make the effort to use film then I should really use an LTM.
I feel liberated (and richer!)

If you don’t mind me asking, where did you take your M gear to be sold?

In the last twenty years I've assembled a small group of Leica M cameras, and they're great, but as I sat this morning having a bagel in a local coffee shop, looking down at my IIIc, I gotta say I just get more joy out of using the Barnack. YMMV.

I always liked the 28mm so decided to buy this minty 1952 28 f/3.5 Canon Serenar with finder for my IIIf. The images looked fine on my A7II so looking forward to shooting some film with the little Leica. I wasn't expecting it, but the finder is actually quite nice to use. It's strange to think that the 28 f/3.5 Serenar was the fasted "ultra wide" lens at the time, at least according to the internet.

My Grandfather's 1949 IIIc, a 1937 IIIa, and a 1935 Leica Standard. I tried some M mount cameras but sold my M3 DS and Bessa R2a. The were both wonderful cameras but I realized I preferred the ltm bodies. I did keep my Bessa T but it operates like the ltm bodies with a 1.5 magnification focus window and brightline viewfinder.

Hi, a simple story, a camera bought in est Germany 30 years ago and closed in a box until now 🙂 when i have taken it. Usually i chose used experienced cameras, this is an exception, i didn't believe that such aged camera could be like new🙂 and virgin

My first Leica I (A), a 1930 model. It works quite well, and has the quite unusual detail of having not one but two former owner's names inscribed (well, in fact scratched) in it. Somebody called O. Kolda (or Korda), probably the second owner, and Bruno Maixner, probably the first owner, as it's name is place more prominently (and in the bottom plate, too). I'm quite sure I've even put a face to this name. For more information here:

Yes, I agree, wonderful camera, but I think that the lens has been replaced: this lens has the "0" engraved next to the focusing lever. The "0" means that the lens is standardized, but this never was the case on a Leica I as the lens of the I was adapted to the particular camera.
Also, the lens seems to be coated, this could only have been done in the post-war era and strap lugs seems to be always out of place on a Leica I.

Shame, Alexander Korda had two brothers but they were Zoltan and Vincent, no mention of anyone whose name started with an O (apart from second wife Merle Oberon but that doesn't fit!)
Big family though so you never know.

I wonder if they could use a Leica I, wich is not easy at all.
