Sharp eye, there Fish! The lens is the 50 1.8 AF but it now sports a really nice Soligor zoom lens!
Danged Nikkormats are such simple and solid machines.🙂

Yeah, I look at that photo Dave, and when I realise it's just the core of my camera gear...
There is not enough time or money to keep running film through them all, or to repair the ones that need it. But I'm just an old gearhead, so eventually I'll get around to shooting with something that hasn't been used in a while.

I don't think there's a black camera out there that brasses better than a black Nikon F or Nikkormat. Sadly, all mine are chrome.

My Nikkormats were cheap, I got lucky. Apparently there were a lot of black paint Nikkormats sold in the Netherlands, on a Dutch vending site one in every four is a black one, I estimate. Lots or early, metal advance cameras too.
One day I hope to run into a black paint Nikon F with a plain prism there for a decent price. Sure won't pass that one up then!

Nikkormat FTn + Nikkor S.C Auto 50mm f/1.4 pre-ai
This is a very special camera to me. My uncle bought it with his salaries from his first job. He was really into photography back then. His favorite model is his sister - my mother. My uncle decided to pass down this magnificent camera to me. After 40 years, it will be taking nice portraits of my beloved Mum once again.
