Great lenses, worst built and design ever.

6x9 and be there!
Here is the Koniflex I have been using for nearly 5 years now :

The Koniflex is indeed one of the greatest TLRs! The 5 element, Heliar/Dynar type lens is unrivaled for portraiture.
Koniflexes are readily available from Yahoo Japan.
Cheers!

My Yashica-44A, made in 1959. I still could shoot 127 film with it, thanks to Rerapan (or DIY cut&respooled 120 or 35mm).

Picked up my first TLR! Was a bit of a basket case but for $95 shipped I had to take a chance. Anyway from my research it's an early K4B with 7.5cm f3.5 Tessar. Interestingly I can't find a serial # and I assume it should be on the nameplate but its not, maybe a replacement? First I had to straighten and pound out a dent in the corner of the film door near where the winding lever rests, cleaned the mirror, cleaned both lenses of a little haze, the magnifier wasn't even attached, so I made a pin from a paperclip and it works perfectly. Test phots show all speeds working correctly and no light leaks! Overall I'm a happy camper! Still need to give it a good spit and polish...

Lots of great ideas in this camera, too bad they stopped making them when they did - very innovative and could have had a great future, but...anyway - I'm glad I have one of these. For sure one great piece of TLR history.
I just acquired a Voigtlander Superb myself. It's off getting serviced - the mirror is shot, focus is stiff, and who knows what the shutter is really doing.

I'm been enjoying Irving Penn's books recently. Decided to build my own take on such a rig. This will get some use, believe me.
The enhancements do make a difference which is gratifying.

Nah, I'm looking at the Mamiya C330S and the two Minolta Autocords.
