Another successful repair – this time a Contax D. Replaced the dried and cracked shutter curtains and re-silvered the badly degraded prism. The lens was originally in Exakta mount; removed the shim and mounted an Exakta-to-M42 adapter.

Nikon FM2n and Nikkor 50mm f1.4 AiS (with a Voigt Domed hood). Oh yeah and one of Tom's (RIP) brillant mini soft releases.

Got a massive macro lens with this superb XD7 Combo, which I hold in front of my Alpha 7 "free-handed" for this shot, because the MD > NEX adapter didn't arrived yet and my Leica glass won't focus near enough. I like the real flares... :p

I love those small Auto-Takumar lenses with pre-spotmatics, make almost a pocketable combo (and the wind lever is so smooth, like no other SLR).

One of my good friends and fellow gear-heads recently found an '84 Olympic strap in his collection and knew I had an '84 Olympic Canon F1 that could match up with it, so he sent it my way. Thanks, Andy!

Another view for sense of scale with the Canon FL 1200mm f/11 lens I mounted it on. Yes, there is a 2X extender and couple of extension tubes for maximum laughs in there. Minimum focus goes from 130ft to roughly 30ft with 75mm of extension and the 2X is just barely usable as the "Fast glass" focus screen really freaks out at that working aperture.

Point it across the street, from my side's sidewalk, with those extension tubes and without the 2x extender, I can focus on the other side of the street's curb and just a bit closer. The face of the curb and just a bit on either side is still in the frame.
