haven't taken any photos, but i've got a nikon f w/eyelevel prism, canon new f-1 w/ae prism, and a pentax spotmatic. one of these days, i'll get a ff dslr.

I don't get vignetting. I bought the hood separately; as far as I know it's the one for the 50/f4 Flektogon, and it's identical to the one or two other Flektogon hoods I've seen. The hoods can be difficult to find. The lens has a 86mm filter thread, the hood has a 95mm thread, and you need an M86/95 step-up ring to use the hood. Then again, the Flektogon does profit quite a bit from the hood, and with the square format on a 50mm lens it is easy to get bright light sources where they shouldn't be, so the hood is definitely a good idea.
