Yes, I right clicked on properties and amazon and tumblr appeared in the url. Anyway, thanks for re-posting. Those are nice cameras. Very delicate instruments. I'm 55 and can't afford that chic! ...you know health insurance house payments yada yada... just pulling your chain. Again, you have some nice equipment. My Nikonian neighbor is slipping away and I can't keep him on dry land... he's ready to jump head first into the Nikon Digital SLR realm. Can't talk him out of it. Sad.strange. it's three photos, one of each of my film slr's, from my tumblr blog. not sure why it showed them as coming from amazon... let me retry.

Sure glad to see you all posting some very nice shots of your evil equipment the last couple of weeks. And it looks like Nikon is outrunning the rest, but no surprise there. The variety has been fun including a few I have'nt seen up close and personal. I'm afraid my bottom fishing finds won't win any beauty contest but I hope to get a few keepers that I can say "my favorite". I'll be laid up for a couple of weeks and I hope to share a few gear shots as well.
Cheers to All.

One of my heaviest cameras, but I like it better than either of my other Canon SLR's, the A1 or AE1

I almost bought one new in 1983 or thereabouts. I bought the MTL3 instead. The shop owner reckoned the auto Prakticas where trouble.I don't get why these cameras are so underrated.

By the way, does it have the M42 thread mount? Because I´ve a Vivitar 2x teleconverter lying around, hasn´t been used in 20 yrs. If you are (or someone else is) interested.

A crappy picture, I know, but its the only picture I have of the poor thing. The (d)SLR is the one not on the left.

I had quite the opposite experience. Back in the early 90's, the seller managed to persuade me to buy a BMS model rather than a MTL3 because he said that the older models were not very reliable. Time has proved him wrong but having said that my BMS was working alright until i dropped it.
The Praktica "B" models (B100, B200, BMS, BC1, BCX, BX20 etc..) are using bayonet mount so your vivitar will not mount. Thank you for letting me know though
Pan.

In this configuration, the camera weight almost as much as an Hasselblad. Having more and more back issues, I recently gave up using it and moved to lighted gear with a Pentax MX and its M lenses. I am also awaiting a Contax 139 and sometimes use a Zenit S.
I have long relationship with Sr-Ts as I owned six of them (I kept coming back to this camera).
