Show us your SLR ..... WHAT?

...aaaand the next Nikon on this page. F2 Photomic with Nikkor-H Auto 28/3.5.
The lens came with reversed metering prong. I felt so incredibly stupid, because it just would not couple to the meter...

A not often seen black Peafowl. It was nicknamed "black diamond" back in 1970's.

Nice looking camera. I sometimes see Chinese SLRs on ebay, but the asking prices are always really high. I guess these are much rarer than the TLRs and other Chinese cameras that sell for a lot less.

Some popular models of Chinese SLRs are not really rare at home. But this black version of Peafowl seems quite rare. A common Seagull DF-1 sells about the same as a Seagull 4A TLR IIRC.
Here is a much more common chrome version FYI.

Gold, black and chrome versions of popular Chinese SLR Pearl River (珠江)S-201. This was the most expensive Chinese SLR with interchangeable view finers, mirror lock-up, and provision for an electric winder.

I've just acquired a chrome Leicaflex SL with Summicron 50 and hood almost identical to your SL2.

Always wanted one, never went for it due to the cost of lenses, but 2 and 3 cam R lenses are now approachably priced and the bodies are very reasonable now, even in good shape. I saw your SL2 and a couple others available, but went for the chrome SL because, well, it just appealed to me more and for longer.

I figure as long as I'm buying a camera that I may not use more than a couple of times a year as a fantasy fulfillment piece, I might as well get the one that tweaked my buttons all those years ago... :)

My Nikons were always workhorses and I have truly loved working with the F, F2, F3, and FMs, but something about the Leicaflex SL and Alpa 10d has drawn me to them for many years. Still can't get an Alpa 10d*in good condition for what I consider a reasonable price, but the Leicaflex SL I acquired at a quite reasonable price (about $600 total in what looks to be EXC condition) so I'm looking forward to seeing whether it's as nice in use it's always felt in my hands. I hope the meter in this one is in good shape as I understand that's a bit of a weak spot.

Silly stuff, but such is the price of fantasy.
