This is the same kind of camera I had when I first started doing photography. I'm happy to have another one.
Mirandas are great - quiet cameras with a large interchangeable viewfinder.

First film is drying now (slowly as it has been a horrid 34º/100% humidity day here).

I am assuming that this was a micro-photography hack?

Delivered last night. New in the box and the last 35mm film camera I will buy to use. Everything else can now be sold! Even my F5!

Although I remember you had quite firm belief F5 being best film Nikon on the planet, even compared to F6

Indeed I did based on the cost of an F5 vs the cost of an F6. I also stated that when prices dropped I'd buy one and I have
The F5 is still the better camera for big lenses because with a battery pack the F6 is even bigger than the 5.
I won't be buying the battery pack and I doubt I'll use the F6 with anything bigger than my 85. The F6 is very good and nicer than I can remember when I last used one. Very quiet shutter in comparison and a very bright viewfinder. I was very lucky to receive this one new.

I have to agree, one of the best 50's for Nikon!
I sold my 1.4 ais for a similar 1.8, haven't ever looked back.
Really like that 40SL hood, sure does look slick!
