Well ...I`ve now sold this one too.
Still have two of the three lenses ...a 50/1.4 and an 85/1.4.
I sold the Yashica 28/2.8 along with the body.

Here is my small Nikon outfit. Back to front, left to right: black Nikon FM2N with MD-12 motor drive and 24mm f/2.8 Nikkor AI-S lens, chrome Nikon FE2 with 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor AI-S lens, Nikkor 105mm f/2.5 AI-S lens, Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 AI-S lens with HK-14 lens hood. I'm still a rangefinder guy at heart, but I'm having fun with these. The lenses are fantastic on my Sony a7.

I always wondered why Nikon (did others do it, too?) put that damned "Passed" label right on the front of the camera? Gaudy, stupid and just crappy. And, oh, if you tried to take it off, it always left smudges and glue. All and all a mystery to me.

They are an assurance of quality Japanese products and were intended for exported cameras to be recognised as original and not copies of German cameras of the time.

As I understood the question, it wasn't about why the stickers existed, but rather why they had to be applied so conspicuously to the front of the camera. I only scanned your links, but I didn't see any reference to the location of the sticker on the camera body.

1,000,000 Megapixel, so that's 1 Gigapixel, right?My trusty OM-1n with Tamron Adaptall 24mm f/2.5 (don't turn up your nose, Zuikophiles; it's a perfectly splendid lens, though it's out-resolved a tad by the camera's sensor.)

Bail out the Brits too !
I have 'taken over' my Boy's Olympus OM2n and his Konica Autoreflex TC gear that he was given as he no longer has any interest in 'Old FILM cameras' -- his Mates all use their 'gadgets' to take photos and upload them to Facebook, Snapchat, instagram etc -- I have done some tests on B&W film and the Olympus Zuikos outperform the Konica Hexanons and Hexar lenses
