Here are two of my favorite "walk about" cameras with easy to adjust ("...on the fly"), shutter speed dials.

Hi,
I've done that 4 or 5 times now, I always miss the old OM10 and find another after a while. Mostly because I don't worry so much about carrying it around; dropping it etc. And the thought of having two 4Ti's stolen or damaged frightens me...

That is a very nice collection.
I noticed you don't have any OM-1N version.
Is that on purpose or it just happen to be that way?
But, impressive you have a M-1 and another one on the way.
Apart from the very expensive OM-3Ti, you seem to only miss the OM-2N in black.
You might want to have a word with the gent above you that has 2x -2N.
Personally I have a preference for OM-1 in black, but the -2 and -2N look nicer to me in chrome.
Here is a video about a nice and famous photographer. See what is the camera he is holding at around 1:10:

Yeah that's a good point actually. I mean, I mostly use a black OM1 and OM4. Both are brassed nicely and I don't feel bad if they get scratched/grazed etc. It could make sense in some circumstances though to have something like an OM10. It's amazing how cheap they are.Hi,

Thanks. I really like my OM1. Actually the one I use isn't in the photo above. It's black and brassing nicely over time. The same goes for an OM4 I use (I got it free with another camera as the previous owner thought it was broken). Every time I use it it feels like a bonus so I just keep using it. Not a fan of the VF though, I love the simplicity of the OM1.
Oh, the OM3Ti is very nice indeed. I don't think I could bring myself to paying the high prices they seem to go for now. Maybe one day though!
Oh, a random bit of info. The brown half case on the OM3 is actually the case that came with my Bess R3A. I also used the Bessa grip on my OM4 for a while. The OM's feel smaller than the Bessa which is pretty crazy.

Hi,
Good, I've put your star on the chart...
Seriously the OM 10 for 3 or 4, perhaps even 5, quid with the standard lens is one of the best SLR bargains to be had. The lens alone is worth more, IMO.
Regards, David
PS Also, the OM10 is a very relaxing camera to use after the OM-4; there's a lot to be said for that.

Never used an OM40, but used an OM10 which seemed decent. If I found another one in black I'd get it in a heart beat

I agree. I thought mine was broken until I tried another one and it was the same. Probably the 'final check' system.

I bought the 40 to serve as backup to the 4.
It also suffers from the rapid drain of batteries, but it seems to be less acute than the 4 or the -2SP. The TTL OTF flash system seems to be the same as the others.
A black OM10 is a nice thing. Here they were sold mainly with a quartz data back.

How about some Zeiss love:
Contaflex Super of 1959. Has a wonderful 50mm f/2.8 Tessar lens. And it took interchangeable film backs. Try that with a Nikon, Canon, Olympus, or Minolta
