Which lens is better: 45/2 Planar or ZM 50/2?

I'm meeting the tech director who was in charge of the G1 and G2 design (as well as Contax 645--yum!) next week.
Any questions for him?
Here are some on my list:
- why did Kyrocera decide not to include DOF markings on the G lenses?
- what were some of the limitations o the zoom finder that made it be so dinky? What were the internal conversations about the size of the VF?
- what ere the plans to expand the system, had it flourished?
anything on your minds?

Oh -- and about the original question: which is better, the 45/2 or the 50/2 ...? IMHO they're both great. Slightly different rendering and character, but both are stellar. I'd say it's an official tie.

Thanks Richard.
I recently put together a book of some of my 35mm images. I think it turned out really good and I've shown it to some photographer friends and they said it was good.
I did it through MyPublisher and it was fairly expensive.
I'd love to figure out how to get it affordably printed and make it available.

great photos here! Miss my G! DKimg and Swift1 great scans - are you doing anything special with the Epson V750 like wet scanning? I'm looking for a scanner but don't want the "old system" hassle of the Nikons to get the good iCE.
Thanks
Thanks

I scan everything using this method,
http://www.coltonallen.com/getting-the-most-from-color-negative-film-with-your-epson-flatbed/
I mostly scan everything at 2400 dpi, and 24 bit jpeg. If I want a really good scan of a particular frame, I will scan at 6400 dpi and 48 bit TIFF, then downsize to 3200 dpi, which is about the practical limit off the V700/V750.
With careful application of sharpening, the V750 is capable of superb results.
