coldkennel's photo below reminds me of something John Constable would have painted. I really like this effect from older lenses.

I recently saw a few of Constable's paintings at the National Gallery in London. They're absolutely beautiful in real life, so I'm honoured to have created something even close to that. The man was a true master.

I recently broke the habit of a lifetime and actually used some C41 film I was given back in 2010. Only 100 ISO, fridge-stored since fresh, so it held up pretty well. Put it in a Canon IIIa with an Elmar on the front, and took it everywhere for a while.

First time I've ever used the Elmar with colour film and it did a lot better job than expected:







Still not sold on this whole "colour photography" thing, though. It'll never catch on.
