Touché 😀
It takes away the protability tho 😉
i'm not using the rangefinder with it, anyway. in fact, i do not work with this camera at all, it still has its "first" roll of film in it. i loaded it 2.5 years ago!

I was dead lucky. It is in very good condition. A bit of green corrosion on some of the screw heads, a bit of wear on the leatherette, and that was it. The curtains on mine look pristine. That is evidently an exception. No pinholes at all, and I have shot into the sun too. Shutters themselves can also be faulty. Mine has worked very well on all speeds tested 1/25 to 1/100. Not tried 1/200 and 1/500 yet, they look slow when looking through the camera back to front, when open.Ezzie, have you used the Derby? I'm thinking about getting one for use with 135 mm film...
I have never seen one in such condition though. How are the shutter curtains?

I just received a Univex Mercury II that's going to need a major overhaul (And a beautiful Contax II with a broken shutter ribbon).[/quot]
Hi,
I'll wish you luck with the Contax II, mine had both ribbons go and nearly a year later I'm still waiting patiently.
Regards, David

LOMO 135BC full manual aperture and speed + scale focus + 8 shoots in a row!!!
(quite heavy duty construction)
I Thank Naumi for this awesome little gift!
p.s. excuse me for the bad quality...
Thanks all,
Concerning the Contax II, already negotiating with a local guy who repairs FEDs, Zorkis and KIEVs. He's willing to take a look at it.
Alternatively I'll order some ribbon from Oleg or FEDKA and do the fix myself with Rick Oleson's notes. (It's not that hard apparently). 😉
The Mercury II is now running smoothly after a good internal clean and a sprinkling of naphtha and some pin pricks of oil.
Hmmm...Post a picture here or in the half-frame section.

I will need to polish the external finish and seal it somehow. 😉
