Shutter curtains

Any suggestions for shutter curtain material ? My Zorki 1c,s curtains are in very poor condition ,Looked at Oleg,s site but he has a minimum order of $30.00 ,Found a few on *bay but would rather make my own if possible .Just not to sure what sort of material I should be looking for .
