Shutter failing

So its finally really failing. Sometimes I'll cock the shutter and then have to turn the camera off and then on again. The camera will then click and I'll have to cock the shutter again and then it usually works. Last night I had to cock it and turn it on and off twenty times before the shutter actually cocked. I knew this was coming. So its off to Steve's unless someone has a East coast recommendation?

Not sure, but sounds like the problem is probably not with the shutter but instead with the release mechanism. Seems to be quite a common problem. If I were you I'd check first with a local camerarepairman for a better deal than the 300 dollars at Steve's Camera. Fixing the relese mechanism is not as big of job as a shutter problem and should not be as expensive.

I have decided to send it off to Steve's Camera. I don't know anyone in the area that's why I asked if anyone had an East Coast recommendation.
