The shutter on my Leica iiif has been very temperamental over the last couple weeks. I bought it back in July and its worked without issue until about 10 days ago. Previously, I've put about 10 rolls or so through it.

Now, it will work for several shots and then stop working for several more. It happens at a variety of shutter speeds, 1/30, 1/40, 1/60.

The made a video of it in order to help better show what is happening:

Any thoughts or insight is appreciated!

When was it last CLA'd?

The shutter appears to be dragging...

As the old lube dries out the shutter will start to drag and/or the opening curtain may run slower allowing the closing curtain to release too soon..

There's some erratic capping going on in the first sequence,
and no timing whatsoever in the second. Sticky curtain latch
would be a first guess. If it is sticking, you can bet the rest
of the camera will need a CLA. Youxin should be able to get
you back up quickly.
