I know my m6 needs a cla as frame lines dont change, but just had a look at shutter and at 1 sec speed after shutter has tripped you can still see curtain seam which gradually moves to the left taking a few seconds to stop. I cant get it cla'd before my summer hols, any techies know what is causing this and if it has any effect at higher speeds? thx j

The slow speeds are controlled by a separate escapement, so it is possible that the faster ones are all right. However, malfunctioning slow speeds are usually the best indication that a CLA is wanted. Besides, you also have trouble with frame lines.

you have a flat tire and the engine backfires. And you want to take the rig on vacation? hmm.

Remove lens & flip up back cover, fire shutter at /125, looking at light source through the camera film frame if there is a trailing edge problem borrow another camera for holidays.
