When I got it the shutter glitched on me, just a minor hiccup that I noted and buried in the back of my mind, happened again about 6 weeks later. Changed the batteries yesterday and was shooting in a pretty cold and very windy street. The front (grey) shutter started opening but the back one would stay closed, and tapping the base of the camera on the palm of my hand seemed to make it pop closed again but Id missed the shot and nothing was exposed (because the black shutter didnt pop).
Every two strokes of the advance lever it happened, & the base tapping I was doing stopped working, so (-dont do this at home kids-), had to pull the lens off and massage the blades with a plastic toothpic to get them to pop closed. It happened five times I checked the batteries, they are good, and had my tech take a peek, and he reckons its time for a new shutter....
Gandy wants the camera for 4 weeks...
I guess Im a heavy user, Ive run 80+ rolls through the thing since I got it in the summer (2005).
Anyone else experiencing shutter issues like this? I also noticed that the transport is screwy as all hell, I put it down to the T-Winder which ive heard is responsible for overlaps and spacing irregularities, but its not just the T-Winder in my case...

Anyway id like some feedback on this.

I would send it back, shutter problems with the bessa's are not unheard of, in fact it seems to be the more common problem ive seen while researching the cameras. I would box it then send it off but see if there is a loaner he can send you or something like that.

Thats good to know, I actually didnt know of any shutter issues when I was researching on the camera, but then again, I was more obsessing then researching. Can I ask where you accrued your information?
