Just got this lens and have used it for the last few days, all I can say is wow.

Cons
- often hunts for focus with my d200. I think the fast speed makes it hard for the camera to decide where to focus at 1.4... It often will focus behind the subject, it doesn't backfocus, the camera was having a hard time. I switched to the wide focus points which solved this problem. The odd thing was, sitting at home the dang thing wouldn't hit focus, but in the field, it hit really well.
- its not the sharpest lens across the whole field.
- its a DX lens

Pros
- It is plenty sharp
- It allows you to get the shots you couldn't otherwise
- better at f2 and f2.8 than my Nikon 35mm f/2 and 28mm f/2.8 were.

Pictures when I get home....

yes it seems popular lens also on Nikon and Canon forums. Sigma's quality control is sometimes questioned, and lenses are going for re-calibration (least on Internet hearsay). but results can be stunning when focus is ok.

I make no claims that these are the best (or worse) this lens can offer.

The best pro so far, it is in stock. I would have bought a Nikon 35mm f1.8 but it has been out of stock for the MSRP forever.
