Been digging in the archive for an online gallery...revisiting the Sigma archive as well.
A stitched image from the good old Sigma DP2 (original).
Pik Chapaev (6371m), seen from high on Khan Tengri (7010m).

Wonderful.
I've been planning to use my DP2merrill as my winter camera. Any hints on cold weather use? Metering for snow?

Winter shooting: Take a half dozen extra batteries!
For metering I shoot one and then look at the histogram, then adjust if needed.

Thank you all! Took me 10 years to get the idea to finally stich these together. I remember having that in mind when I took the images.
I meter auto w/o compensation. Usually one needs to make things a bit brighter here and there, but an easy thing in PP.
I did not bond with the Merrill today as I did with the DP2 back then. Maybe it is because time moved on, maybe it is because of the 45mm vs 41mm. I would be tempted by the DP1M or the DP0. The batteries are an issue, for sure!
