I bought 2 Sigma lenses...a 39-80 back in the '70's and a 15-30 in the '90's.

Both were crap...

You'll have to go a long way to convince me that Sigma makes quality lenses...

Well , New ART series 24mm ,35mm ,50mm are better than Canon Nikon equivalents plus they incorporate programmable cuircuit board that will allow firmware upgrade in the future ,all that for half price of OEM lenses , beat that.

Just because a company didn't live up to your expectations in the past doesn't mean they haven't progressed.

You don't have to spend much time on the net to find glowing reports of Sigma's 'latest' lenses and amazement that they can do it for the price they do.
