Silver-chrome CL ...

.. no idea if that topic has already been discussed but I found a photo of a silver-chrome CL in the Instagram (IPhone appli) stream.

Since I have never anything heard about it, is it a PS work or real ? Any info available ?

They were never made in silver-chrome that I am aware of. Possibly the owner stripped off the anodizing.

I was told once that they are not able to chromeplate, so I think this is silver paint. Expect it to "brass" like a silver Zeiss Ikon...

Kanto's expensive. I believe Masa-san also offers such service on his auction page.

Am I the only one who think it looks cheap? Looks just like a silver Bessa. Great portable kit, but not really a refined looker in my book.

Yeah looks cheap in chrome, like an M9-P looks cheap in chrome.

Leica missed the boat with this, but at the time black anodising was as sexy as lava lamps and loon pants.
