Where'd my Bessa go?
Thanks again for coming over guys. It was a fun afternoon shooting the breeze and exchanging useful tips. Glad to have met all of you finally.
Peter and Wai Yong, too bad the 2 of you couldn't make it. We'd have to do another one soon to make up.
Thanks to my lovely wife for whipping up the yummy snacks

Glad that you guys has fun! I am still feeling a bit tired from the medications! Must have caught it from the patient with the tracheostomy!

It was a good afternoon today.
We had good food made by Terence's wife. Toasted sandwiches and a pizza. Terence, do thank your wife for us! Talked all things phtography. It was great to talk to the rest of the guys. There was good discussion. But of course there was also the equipment aspect. Fondled many a camera.
Looked through many a viewfinder.
Snapped many a shutter.
I say there's no better home that we could have been invited too. Literally any piece of camera equipment like bodies and lenses we talked about was brought out for closer examination. RD-1? check. Classic MP? check. Leica 90mm? check. R2A? check. And there were more.
And here's the requisite camera shot. And that's only 1/3 of all the cameras that we must have set our eyes on today!
Other shots are in B&W. Those will have to wait till the roll is processed. But i'm sure the rest took pics too.

Nick, thanks for the link.
One of my favorite photographers is in there. Have a look at David Bradford.

Truly yummy snacks!
The taste of the turkey ham sandwich with melted cheese still lingers on after I left!
And so many RF cameras to fondle!
It was an afternoon of great company with a gracious host.
Thanks to all!

Looks like you guys had a great day! Still feeling weak from the bout of viral infection. When will there be another gathering?

Interesting. I rarely have my photo taken, maybe less than 2 frames a year, feels strange to see myself in a pic, let alone sticking out my tongue!
Wonder what was I saying at that time.......maybe I'm teasing you
A good reminder that photographs are, in this case, 1/30s or 1/15s of a moment. I have a picture of a group of friends chatting happily, however, the photo seems to show they are having an argument. Distortion through partial representation?

Someone asked if I could make a vented hood. I just tried. What do you think? First try, still a little rough around the edges.

Cardboard.
This prototype isn't rigid enough to stand up to use, but that'll change. Haha.

Wow. That's a good idea. Perhaps my granddad left a lathe stashed somewhere; I'll check with my dad.

Justin, wow, that's pretty amazing. Your oragami skills are one of a kind. I'd love to give the hood a spin but am a bit concerned of the fragility of the paper. No doubt the one you made for the CLE is pretty hard but this new one looks pretty large.

I guess you guys would not want to come to my humble shelter as it is really out of the way and not to mention very small! How about coffee at the Peninsula area? We could talk shop and tour the camera shops? I just received my new Voigtlander 90mm/3.5 from Dr. Yao. Beautiful black body and construction! Feels so good in the hands! I hope I do not become a Range Fondler!
