Hi! It's nice to see that you've joined this little thread that we have here. It's really amazing what a rangefinder lens can do. :)

I like Fisherman Chasing Fish best. Like the tone. How do you like your Canon 50mm/1.4? Do you use your 50mm more or the 35mm? Do take a look at my gallery. I have a locked Pbase gallery and the password is seance.

Hi Peter,

I like that best too. Unfortunately I cant load more pictures today coz I just found out that I can only upload 5 a day. I'll try to upload more tomorrow... I have some others that I like as well..

Anyway, browsed thru your gallery and must say that it's GREAT!! really good bnws... even the pictures with Kodak 400CN looks good. I tried a roll (with another film camera) but the contrast was not good so I was going to give up on it. Looks like I can give it another go with my rangefinder... U use alot of XP2 as well... think I'll try that as well :p

the Canon 50mm f1.4 is really a street lens.... I use it when I don't wanna take such wide angle pictures which I use my 35mm for.. I'm probably more likely to use my 50mm coz I like the big aperture and not so wide but I feel the 35mm is easier to use coz the max focusing distance is only up to 6m. So when I know my subject is more than 6m, I don't even need to look thru the finder and I can take sharp pictures.. But the 50mm max focusing distance is 20m so I still need to look thru the lens most of the time.. I like both lah :p

You could try emailing Manfred Schmidt- http://www.manfredschmidt.com/prod.html
to see if he's got any A36 (?) chrome lens caps. Think prices are on the high side. I don't recall seeing any caps lately on that great auction site but they do come up from time to time. A filter & hood might be more functional than a front lens cap-

Hi Jesiee,

Thanks for looking at my photos! The XP2 is a wonderful C41 B&W and I use it exclusively nowadays. It is very contrasty and has great tone. You could get them at Ruby. I must say that you are the only lady in Singapore that I know who likes RF! What kind of photography do you indulge in? I would like to see the results of your Hektor! :)

Regards,
Peter

WHAT? you have neglected the G?
What about your plans for a manual RF, was it the leica or the bessa that you liked?

Apart from KEH, don't forget that there is Adorama, b&h photo, photovillage..... and the list goes on....

Happy studying in Hawaii!

Hi Peter, didn't know that XP2 is also a C41 BnW.. Only know that T400CN is a C41 BnW. I guess it's really time for me to try it then :D

Btw, how did you guess that I'm a female? I think most people would assume that I'm a guy :p

Anyway, I do wedding photography (with my hubby), travel photography whenever I go travelling and then tried some fashion shooting but still trying to explore it further..
Hmm in fact, I'm looking for a chance to use my bessa-r to cover a wedding.. wonder how that'd turn out.... hmmm

hhahahaa seems like alot of people interested in the Hektor's results... I need to find a chance to use it though :p

Aug 11 or 18? That's another 11 months away..
