I'm thinking about a mid afternoon thing on Oct 1 like the last time, say 3pm? So far...

1. Glenn

It looks alright cosmetically. But i've not been able to actually test out the body yet. I'm looking towards shooting on this Saturday to give the body a test. It's breakaway's R2. :D

But i'm happpppyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!! :D A Bessa finally! My first interchangeble M Mount body. All i can do with it for the time being is look at it. No lens yet. Anyone willing to lend me a 35mm focal length lens so i could test a roll out on it? :D

I've been working and am still working like mad to just get 1 body and 1 lens. I won't be going home for the next 3 days. :rolleyes:

I have my heart set on buying an Ultron. But will have to save up a bit more for that.

I thought breakaway was not going to sell the body alone. Thought he had a PI 35mm to go with it...

Did you consider that lens as well?

As for the Oct 1 outing, Sats nowadays are quite tough.... :\ so maybe can join u guys next time round... :)

Wow, thanks! :D The earliest i'll be able to meet you is on this sat though. Would only have time to shoot on the weekends.

Gasp! A cron! At my current standards, i can't justify purchasing a cron. A cron does not stir flames of desire in me. But a zeiss bigon might. :D :D But nah, i'll be happy with an ultron. :) Now to look for a 2nd hand one next month.

I did think about it. I did. But after all the time spent finding out about the various CV lenses in the past, i was more or less sure of what i wanted.
After meeting breakaway, i find that he's an alright decent guy. We talked and he was alright with breaking up the sale of the body and lens. More over, upon breaking it up into 2 parts, he received offers pretty fast for the lens. So it was good for him too.

Well, i've been using a yashica 5000E that i still like very much. But i do keep a lookout for any rangefinder users in spore. There are not many of us around. And besides, i've read, heard, talked so much about the bessa line with Peter until i feel i know the various quirks and characteristics of the line pretty intimately.

Do hope you would be able to make it the next time round. Or perhaps you could suggest a date. You would be warmly welcomed to join us at any time.
And thanks for the congrats, it's going to be an enjoyable ride with the camera. :) I'm looking forward to it!

Good.....Good... it's growing nicely here.

Actually i kind of liked and remember the taste of that terrific pizza the last time i was at Terence's home for the meet up. :D But non-greasy food is alright with me too. I don't mind going along to buy the food or be involved with the food preparation. I'm not that fantastic in the process of cooking food but food preparation and cooking was part of my course of study and it was an interesting part. :)

I have just received the Canonet that has travelled around the world and I wondering if anyone wants to take my place to take some shots? I am too busy to go shooting and the battery for the Canonet is not working.

I've got a wedding shoot and the powerboad shoot this weekend, maybe I Can bring it along. Free to pass it over tomorrow?
 
Sure, but I would have to do that after work. How about we meet up at say 1845hrs at BK of Peninsula Plaza? I need to buy some films and a filter. Did I mention that I just bought a Nokton 50mm/1.5? It is the latest updated version with deeper hood and purportedly better construction (whatever that means).

When you scan your B+W films - do you find that they are grainy?

Or am I missing something - do you do a lot of PS after the scan?

What film were you scanning? I do not have much grain. Could you post the scan here for me?
